All competitors must hold official CONGU competition handicaps, and the combined handicap limit is 36.

 

Conditions of Competition

The above competition shall be decided by stroke play over 18 holes and is open to gentlemen members of course-owning golf clubs. 

All competitors must hold official CONGU competition handicaps.  The combined handicap limit is 36.

Entries must include full payment of the entry fee of fifteen pounds (£15).  All bookings to be made online via Stirling Golf Club’s own website with payment being made by credit/debit card.

Entries should include the following details for each player: Name; Handicap; Home Club; CDH Number; Date of Birth; Email Address; Street Address; Contact phone number.  These details will be used by SGC for communication purposes or to send voucher prizes where applicable.

Cancellations should be made via the Secretary as soon as possible.  Entry fees will be refunded up to 2 weeks before the competition.  No refunds will be made thereafter.

Players will be allocated tee times on a first come first served basis.  The M&H Committee reserves to right to adjust tee times by up to 30 minutes, and will notify players of any changes.

Once the draw sheet is full, players interested in joining the waiting list should contact the Secretary. 

If the competition is cancelled by Stirling Golf Club, entry fees will be refunded in full.

The pairing returning the lowest net score will receive first prize and have their name engraved on the Wilson Salver. 

All prizes will be decided by the better inward half formula.  If ties still prevail then the same formula will be applied to the first nine holes. 

No pairing may win more than one prize.

The M&H Committee reserves the right to increase/decrease prize values at their discretion, and their decisions in all disputes shall be final.

Entry into the Magic 2s is optional.  Separate charges apply on the day.

Prizes:

  • 1st Lowest Net Score – £100 and is awarded the Swan Cup.
  • 2nd Lowest Net Score – £90
  • 3rd Lowest Net Score – £80
  • 4th Lowest Net Score – £70

In addition, the Morton Trophy is awarded to the Stirling Golf Club member returning the lowest net score.

Best Scratch Score – £60

Age Category 55-64   

Age Category 65- 68

Age 69 and over                                      

1st, 2nd & 3rd Best Net Score in each category will win

£50, £40 & £30 respectively.

No player can win more than one prize.

Entry to Magic 2s is included in entry fee.

No player may win more than one prize.  Prizes will be in the form of SGU vouchers.

The Committee reserves the right to increase or decrease prize values or to alter the profile of age categories at their discretion and their decisions in all disputes shall be final.
