Fine conditions prevailed for all 186 players who took part in this competition with a difference, where plus or minus scores are recorded for net birdies or bogeys respectively.
So a score of +8 would suggest quite a good round – and that proved to be the case for George Spowart – winner on the day! Joe Woloszyn Jnr also impressed with a score of +7. Other players recorded perfectly good scores of +5 and +4 – good enough to win the event in the past – but well done to George for pulling out a special round.
