The competition is open to teams of four containing any combination of gents/ladies who must be members of course owning golf clubs and hold an official WHS Handicap Index. (Max Handicap 28 Gents and 36 Ladies). Players must be aged 18 years or above on the day of the competition. The competition shall be played from White Tees, or their equivalent, and be decided by stroke play over 18 holes in a modified version of a Texas Scramble format.
The maximum team handicap is 8.4 while a full team of ladies may potentially receive extra strokes depending on Course Ratings and par differentials. No allowance can be made if a team has fewer than four players on the day.
All bookings to be made online via Stirling Golf Club’s own website with players selecting T-Times on a first come first served basis. Full payment by credit or debit card must be made at the time of booking and include the following details for each player: Name; Date of Birth; Home Club; CDH Number; and Handicap Index, along with the Email Address and contact phone number of the person whose Credit / Debit Card is used to pay the booking. These details will be used to convey changes to T-Times, send Refunds etc. Entry fees will be refunded up to 2 weeks before the competition, no refunds will be made thereafter, and refunds will apply to a full team only, no refund will be available for individual players.
Once the draw sheet is full, players interested in joining the waiting list should contact the Secretary. If the competition is cancelled by Golf in Scotland, entry fees will be refunded in full.
The team returning the lowest net score will share first prize. In the event of a tie for any prize, all winners shall be determined by the better inward half, last six holes, last three holes, then last hole. If a tie still exists, then the better first nine holes, six holes, three holes, then first hole, shall decide. No player may win more than one prize.
Score cards will be considered returned once they are placed in the Returns Box. Once all score cards have been returned, representatives of Golf in Scotland will confirm the winning scores on the day and their decision in all disputes shall be final.
