What Our Visitors Say - Stirling Golf Club | Stirling | Scotland

North Berwick Golf Club

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for Friday.

The course was in superb condition – we all thoroughly enjoyed our day and are looking forward to returning at the end of June.

Assistant Secretary, North Berwick Golf Club

My sincere apologies for not writing to you sooner.
We had a great day, the weather was kind, the course was in wonderful condition and the bacon rolls were to die for…

My mates from Dundee were in awe of the views of the castle and surrounds and one of them stated that it was the best course he’d ever played, so no holding back there. I certainly gave them a day to remember.

Further to our conversation last evening I’d like to thank you for a very pleasant visit to my old club. It was nice to see a few familiar faces, but the icing on the cake was the course itself, please congratulate James Lindsay & his staff on the condition of the course.

As a former member from 1983-2011, in my humble opinion James has raised the bar once again & brought the entire course condition back to a level way back into the 1980’s when the late Craig Stewart transformed the condition at Stirling GC & was subsequently head hunted by St.Andrews.

I for one am delighted to see the members enjoy their course in this condition after many years striving to achieve it through difficult times, they deserve it.

All the best for the future.

Kind regards

Peter A Roberts (Secretaries Quaich July 2016)

Our team really enjoyed your Senior Texas Scramble on 26 May 2016. The course, administration, catering and bar were all excellent. Our thanks to all at Stirling Golf Club.

We intend to return again next year and hopefully for your 4BBB in August.

Paul Mulvey, East Kilbride Golf Club

I would like to thank the Committee at Stirling Golf Club for granting Stirling & Clackmannan County Ladies Golf Association courtesy of the course for our team match against Perth & Kinross Ladies on Sunday 26th March.

Everyone enjoyed playing the course and the weather was excellent with the visitors commenting on the views.

We won the match which was an encouraging start to the season for our team and we look forward to returning to Stirling for our Inter County matches in June.

Kind regards

On behalf of the Stirling & Clackmannan County Ladies Golf Association

Dalmally Outing

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your staff at Stirling Golf Club for making us feel most welcome on our annual club outing last Friday.

Your course is fantastic and in excellent condition. I personally can vouch for the quality of the bunkers as I found myself in a fair few. I’m sure some of us will be back to play again.

You even organised the weather for us, though some of the boys were saying ten degrees cooler would have been ideal!

A great day was had by all, so please pass on our thanks to all involved in making it a very enjoyable day for us.

Dalmally G.C. Match Secretary

It’s my first day back at work since the Captains Weekend, so as you can imagine I have spent some considerable time this morning scaling the email mountain.

We really can’t thank you enough for making the delegates at this years event feel so special when arriving at the club last Sunday. It makes a huge difference when the host venue go out of their way as you did, and this really topped off a great weekend, particularly as we had spent so much of that time stressing the importance of creating the right impact in the club.

The club looked to be jumping last weekend, and I know this is down to the hard work that Garry, the Committee and the rest of the team are putting in. It really shows.

Thanks again,

Kevin Fish CCM, Club Services Manager

This is just a short note to say a big thank you to you and the staff at Stirling Golf Club for such a great days golf. Your catering team produced great food and were very attentive. (Our additional prizes were well received.)

My winter league group were delighted with their day out. They were all impressed with the clubhouse, condition of the course and especially the greens given the weather we have had recently. Your green keeper must be a magician or at least have a magic wand.

They have requested that I make the same booking arrangements next year.

Please pass on our thanks to all your team for an A1 performance.

Midland Vets

Thank you so much for a grand day at Stirling yesterday. The course is in terrific condition and is a joy to play and your meal was lovely with very attentive young staff.

All the best for the rest of the season.

Captain, Midland Vets

I would just like to comment on the fantastic course condition.

We as a group off 12 from Liverpool have played your course every year for the last 12 years

It was pointed out by all twelve golfers that the course and in particular the greens were magnificent – It was the best we have seen it.

This year we played The Rosemount at Blairgowrie the Queens at Gleneagles The Carrick on Loch Lomond And Stirling.

When all four venues had been visited it was asked off all twelve players which course came tops – Stirling won hands down for the state of the course.

The Carrick got one vote but that was because of the scenery when asked about the course and not the scenic view he then also chose Stirling.

Will see you in July next year.
