TERMS OF COMPETITION

Ladies’ Senior Open Stableford Greensome

The above competition shall be decided by stableford Greensomes over 18 holes and is open to all ladies who have attained the age of 50 by the competition date and who hold an official WHS Handicap Index. Handicaps for the purpose of the competition will be restricted to a maximum Handicap Index of 31.8 on the day of the competition. Ladies with a higher handicap are welcome to play but will be limited to a Course Handicap of 36.

Bookings are to be made online via Stirling Golf Club’s own website with players selecting tee times on a first come first served basis. Entries must include full payment of the entry fee.

Entries should include the following details for each player: Name; Handicap; Home Club; Email; and Contact phone number. These details will be used by SGC to communicate details of any alterations to tee times, prizes, or refunds.

Cancellations should be made via the Secretary as soon as possible. Entry fees will be refunded up to two weeks before the competition. No refunds will be made thereafter.

If the competition is cancelled by Stirling Golf Club, entry fees will be refunded in full.

Players must register their attendance no later than 20 minutes prior to their start-time.

It is the players responsibility to arrive on the 1st Tee ready to play, no earlier or later than 5 minutes prior to their start-time. The starter has the authority to penalise any player two strokes, added to their 1st hole score, if they are not ready to play when their names are called on the 1st Tee.

The M&H Committee reserves to right to adjust tee times by up to 30 minutes and will notify players, who have included their e-mail address, of any changes. Once the draw sheet is full, players interested in joining the waiting list should contact the Secretary.

The team returning the best stableford net score will receive first handicap prize and have their names engraved on the Kerr Trophy; and the team returning the best stableford gross score will win the scratch prize and have their names engraved on the Stirling Seniors’ Trophy.

In the event of a tie for places, all prizes will be decided by the better inward half, last six holes, last 3 three holes, then 18th hole. If a tie still exists, then the better outward half, first six holes, first three holes, then first hole shall decide.

Score cards will be considered returned once they have been entered into the club’s computer and returned to an officiating member of Stirling Golf Club. The competition is closed when the results have been posted on the club notice board. Prizes will be in the form of Stirling GC Professional vouchers for home players or Scottish Golf vouchers for away players. No player may win more than one prize. To be eligible to win a prize, a player must have returned 3 qualifying scores in the previous 12 months. The M&H Committee reserves the right to increase or decrease prize values at their discretion, and their decisions in all matters shall be final.

SGC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRIES FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT EXPLANATION.
